Coming 2025
Breaking the Silence.
Reclaiming the Story.
A raw and honest book-in-progress about surviving sexual trauma, navigating healing, and confronting the systems and silences that harm survivors—and the people who love them.
What this book is about
Surviving Rape
This book is for anyone who has lived through rape or walked beside someone who has—and found that healing is anything but simple.
The Challenges
It tells the truth about what trauma actually feels like. It gives voice to spouses, parents, and friends who often go unseen. And it challenges families, faith communities, and the justice system to face the ways they sometimes cause more harm than healing.
Honest Reflection
Written with honesty, faith, and hope, this book is more than a memoir—it’s a mirror, a challenge, and a call to courage.

About the author
Meet Jessi Bixler
I’ve shared my story many times, not because I wanted to hide from the truth, but because it’s part of a larger conversation that still needs to be heard. Writing this book is about more than my experience; it’s about giving voice to the others whose stories are often overlooked, and shining a light on the many complexities and hidden realities of living through rape and healing from it.
My hope is that this book helps break the silence, deepens understanding, and invites all of us into honest, courageous dialogue.
