A memoir told in many voices
The Story We Share
How one sexual assault rippled through a family and their fight for healing
A raw, honest memoir written in many voices. Jessi tells her side. So do the people who lived the aftermath alongside her: her husband, her family, her friends, the SANE nurse who treated her, the attorneys who represented her, the law enforcement professionals who tried. The fractured form mirrors what trauma actually does to memory and to a family.
Meet Jessi Bixler
I'm Jessi Bixler. I'm the author of The Story We Share, and I speak to leaders, professional groups, and communities on what we carry, how we lead through the long unglamorous middle of healing, and how to show up well when the people around us are going through something hard.
By day, I'm the founder of Bixler Consulting LLC, a fractional marketing practice I've run for nearly a decade. I bring 20+ years of marketing experience to the work I do as both a strategist and a speaker. I served on the Board of Directors and as past Board Chair for MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization Countering Sexual Assault).
